Day 11: Who’s the most underrated gymnast?
Alicia Sacramone
Because she does not do bars, she was never hyped up to be the next “Shannon” or “Mary Lou.” After Beijing, she became the girl who single-handedly lost the Gold for Team USA. Since everyone is trying to make it rain Amanars, her Rudi looks like nothing. Her own teammate who was known as “mini-me” for a while is now surpassing her, at least for this run at the Olympics.To me, Alicia is one of those gymnasts who was always great but won’t be truly appreciated until she has retired. When she’s gone many people will look back at her resume and be shocked at how amazing her career was.
