The thing about Ana Porgras’ retirement…

It’s only the beginning. As excited as we all are for London, by the end of the year a lot of our favorite gymnasts will be retired. The girls that gymnastics fans spent the past few years rooting for will say bye and make way for another group of girls. This time next year the countdown to the 2013 Worlds will begin with new seniors ready for their debut.

So here’s to an amazing 2012. Enjoy it while it lasts my fellow gymnastics fans. The chances of us losing our minds over Mustafina vs. Komova vs. Wieber after these games are pretty slim.

….but one can only wish that they’ll all pull a Chuso.
