ROAD TO LONDON: Shut up, shut up, shut up

Where do I even begin with these three? They never seem like they know what they’re talking about…even when the event is pre-taped. You’d think it’s be easy to give commentary on meets that you’ve already watched. I know that naming off every single move done by a gymnast would make things confusing and complicated for the average viewer but I’m 99.9% sure that not every skill consists of two flips and two twists. You don’t even have to anything about the sport to say some of the crap that comes out of their mouths. No Tim, that wasn’t a full fall at all. She only fell 1/8 of the way.

When they aren’t giving their thoughts on the routines, they always have something to say about the gymnasts. I’m all for supporting your home country, but when you do it by constantly putting down those who aren’t Americans I have a problem. Even when they’re not at an international meet they find some crazy way to bring up a foreign gymnast and put them down. Alaina Mustafa isn’t at Nationals? Oh well, let’s bring her up and mispronounce her name 10 times before saying how much of a diva she.

Sad thing is that the American gymnasts aren’t off limits either. They pick a few that they like and praise her like she’s heaven sent. If that girl falls then it’s no big deal and god forbid if someone else dares to wobble on the beam…of with her head!

As a fan of gymnastics between Olympics years, I know not to believe anything they say but what I hate is when the every-4-years fans start watching. They don’t know that these three are full of crap so they believe every word. I’m sure that when London comes, the public will believe that Russia is the devil reincarnated and China has 2 year olds competing for them. I can’t wait to see all of the excuses they make up if one of our girls aren’t successful.

Note to NBC: Please stop saying that so-and-so would’ve won if they hadn’t fallen. WE ALL KNOW THE FUCKING OBVIOUS. Try to give a little credit to those who were able to hit their routines and was better on that day. Just because a gymnast has a high start value does not mean they deserve to win over those who don’t.
